Police searching for man who robbed Lasalle convenience store at knifepoint

A convenience store employee is uninjured after being robbed at knifepoint on Sunday evening.

At around 7:40 p.m. on Oct. 28, Greater Sudbury Police say a man entered the Kwik Way at 594 Lasalle Blvd. Approaching the clerk, the man flashed a knife and demanded money, before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

When officers arrived, they begin searching for the man with help from the K9 unit. Items believed to have been disposed of by the man were located, but the alleged thief himself was not found.

The man is described as standing about 6-0 tall. He was wearing a light-coloured hoodie and jeans at the time of the incident.
