Police target complaint areas

Greater Sudbury Police have charged 108 people with traffic offences this weekend after focusing on areas of complaint throughout the city. On Municipal Rd. 55 in Walden, 41 people were charged with speeding.

On Municipal Rd. 55 in Walden, 41 people were charged with speeding. In Valley East, 14 people were charged with speeding or improper turns on Municipal Rd. 80. Another 17 people were charged with speeding, and five for other Highway Traffic Act offences, on Municipal Rd. 35 in Rayside Balfour.

In Sudbury, 24 people were charged, 18 for speeding. At the intersection of St. Mary's St. and St. Anthony St. in Hanmer, 11 people were charged for going through the stop sign.

In light of recent snowfall, police are reminding motorists to reduce speeds and maintain a safe distance behind other vehicles.
