On Christmas Eve, police responded to a vehicle rollover on Regional Road 55 near Fielding Road in Lively at about 10 p.m. The lone occupant was determined to be not injured by the mishap. Two other motor vehicle collisions occurred on Christmas Eve that police said were due to drivers driving too fast on roads that were icy.

Hydro One was contacted to repair the pole to ensure no hydro interruption was caused.

In the second case, a collision occurred on Barrydown Road at Westmount Avenue and is also directly related to high speeds on icy roads, noted police.
