Police warn use of stolen Elton John tickets may lead to charges

Greater Sudbury Police are investigating the theft of two Elton John tickets for the upcoming concert on March 2. The complainant reported to Police that her purse was stolen while she was shopping earlier this week.

Greater Sudbury Police are investigating the theft of two Elton John tickets for the upcoming concert on March 2.  The complainant reported to Police that her purse was stolen while she was shopping earlier this week.  The purse was later recovered, missing a small amount of cash and the two tickets.

The complainant was able to provide police with the section, row and seat numbers of the two stolen tickets.

Police are advising the public that they will be in attendance at the Elton John concert and anyone attempting to use the two stolen tickets will have the tickets confiscated, they will be escorted out of the arena and they may face charges of possession of stolen property.  Further, if these tickets are purchased from the culprit in this theft or anyone else having contact with them, they will be out the money they used to pay for them.
