Quarter-million dollar pot grow found in Azilda

A 26-year-old St. Agnes Street resident and his 23-year-old girlfriend were arrested and charged after police found 277 pot plants, 25 clone plants, hydroponic grow equipment and some cannabis resin at his house.

The man is charged with production of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

His girlfriend is charged with one count each of possession of a controlled substance, production of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Police obtained a search warrant for the house after receiving a tip there the man was growing pot.
