Ride Program Underway

If you drink do not drive, said Greater Sudbury Police Services during the holidays. The police RIDE program has been out and about the city checking vehicles for drivers who have consumed over the legal limit of alcohol.

If you drink do not drive, said Greater Sudbury Police Services during the holidays. The police RIDE program has been out and about the city checking vehicles for drivers who have consumed over the legal limit of alcohol. Approximately 797 vehicles were checked Christmas Eve, said a release from police.


Police remind the public that while indulging in social activities there are alternatives to drinking and driving.

“Think ahead and be safe not only for yourselves but for your families as well. It doesn't pay to drink and drive. It pays to think responsibly and with common sense,” Lavoie added.
