Robbery suspect still at large

Greater Sudbury Police are still looking for a robbery suspect. At 9:05 pm, Saturday July 25, a lone male entered Dino's Confectionary at 975 Lorne St. in the West End of the city.

Greater Sudbury Police are still looking for a robbery suspect.

At 9:05 pm, Saturday July 25, a lone male entered Dino's Confectionary at 975 Lorne St. in the West End of the city.

After pretending to inquire about some products, the male went behind the counter, shoved the clerk and removed an undisclosed amount of cash from a cash register. The suspect then ran from the scene.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5' 10” to 6' with a thin athletic build wearing a black ball cap on forward worn low over his eyes. The hat had a white coloured logo on the front and rear of the black ball cap and a white stripe across the brim. The suspect was wearing a light coloured hoody. He also had on black pants, white running shoes and had on his back a grey camouflage pattern pack sack with black straps.

The suspect had short straight light brown or blondish coloured hair. According to
Greater Sudbury Police Services Sgt. Mike Chapman, a canine unit was used Sunday morning in the search for the suspect. The suspect was not found and remains at large.
