Updated: Skead and Radar Rd. reopened after 'serious' crash Monday evening

The roadway is now reopened, Greater Sudbury Police reported just before 2 a.m. Tuesday.

The crash, which police first reported on Twitter at around 7:30 p.m. Monday, is under investigation by Greater Sudbury Police's traffic management unit. Witnesses are asked to phone 705-675-9171.

Greater Sudbury Police are currently on scene of a serious motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Skead Road and Radar Road. 

“The road is currently closed at that location while officers investigating,” police tweeted Monday evening.

Police are asking motorists traveling to and from Hanmer on Radar Road to use MR80. 

No traffic is permitted at the intersection of Skead Road and Radar Road. Police will be directing traffic flow to and from the airport area on Skead Road.

"Drive with caution in the area,” police said.
