The blaze sent smoke billowing through the sky, but Greater Sudbury firefighters were able to contain the fire to the one unit.

Early estimates have the damage pegged at about $200,000. Two adjacent units sustained smoke damage.

No residents were hurt, but a couple of firefighters suffered minor injuries.

An employee with the Ontario Fire Marshall?s office was in Sudbury on Thursday afternoon to investigate the blaze.

The cause was not determined as of Northern Life?s press deadline.

It?s also believed three pets, one dog and two cats, were in the home when the fire broke out, but haven?t been located as of yet.
