Spring seatbelt check

From April 16 to 27, Sudbury and Espanola OPP officers conducted seatbelt checks in different locations for the Spring Seatbelt Campaign. Officers checked 14,388 vehicles, where 12,059 seatbelts and 328 child seats were checked.

From April 16 to 27, Sudbury and Espanola OPP officers conducted seatbelt checks in different locations for the Spring Seatbelt Campaign.

Officers checked 14,388 vehicles, where 12,059 seatbelts and 328 child seats were checked. 

Ninety-one people — drivers and/or passengers — were charged for failing to wear a seatbelt and two charges were issued for failing to ensure child properly secured.
