Parry Sound OPP are investigating a single motor vehicle accident that took place at 1:30 am on Highway 400 just South of Rankin Lake Road.
The vehicle, which was driven by 55-year-old Raymond Bedard, was heading north when it went off the road hitting a series of guardrails.
The vehicle then rolled into the center median and ejected several occupants.
Ryan Piette, 7, of St. Charles, was pronounced dead on the scene and six others were taken to hospital with a variety of injuries, non of which are life threatening.
