A Greater Sudbury resident is facing spousal assault charges following a March 29 incident in Wawa.
Superior East Ontario Provincial Police detachment said officers were dispatched to a residence on Mission Road in Wawa at around 4 a.m. on March 29.
OPP didn’t provide much in the way of details, other than to say the person is facing criminal charges as a result of a domestic dispute.
A 28-year-old from Sudbury was arrested and charged with:
- Spousal Assault
- Assault
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in May 2024 in Wawa.
“Due to the domestic nature of the incident, the name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.”
