Greater Sudbury Police have arrested and charged a 39-year-old man with a number of child porn-related charges, police said in a press release.
Police have not named the man, but said he was charged with five counts of possession of child pornography, four counts of access to child pornography and two counts of making child pornography available.
The police service's cyber crime unit identified the Sudbury resident when an investigation showed he had been dowloading child pornography through a file-sharing website between August and November 2016.
Police executed a search warrant on Dec. 7, which allowed them to seize computers and locate the child pornography.
