Greater Sudbury Police responded to a report of a suspicious person seen with what appeared to be a pipe bomb in the downtown core Dec. 20 around 1:30 pm.
Police conducted an extensive search of the area and arrested a 52-year-old Sudbury man a short time later.
The suspect has been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
