In March 2008, officers received a complaint from McKerrow Taxi about a male issuing a $90 N.F.S. cheque for transportation services.
Again in April, a complaint was received about the same suspect fraudulently obtaining accommodations at Goodman’s Motel in McKerrow.
Officers arrested the suspect on April 27. Charged with transportation fraud and food and lodging fraud is Donald James Jacobs, 49, of Sault Ste. Marie. He is scheduled to appear in Espanola Court on Aug.12.
