Suspect sought in stabbing

A 24-year-old Greater Sudbury man was treated in the hospital after being stabbed several times in the leg on Madison Avenue, near Old Falconbridge Road, around 8 p.m. on Dec. 17.

A 24-year-old Greater Sudbury man was treated in the hospital after being stabbed several times in the leg on Madison Avenue, near Old Falconbridge Road, around 8 p.m. on Dec. 17.

The victim was approached by a man with a hood over his head and his hands in his pockets. Motive for the stabbing is not known at this time.

The knife used in the stabbing has been recovered by the police.

The Greater Sudbury police are urging caution if approached by persons who are acting suspiciously or seem to be trying to hide their identities.

The assailant is described as white, 5-10 to 6 feet tall, and a medium build. He was wearing black jeans, a puffy black coat with a hood, and white running shoes.
