Taxi driver robbed on Jean Street

A taxi driver was robbed by two men on May 25 at 1:00 am. The driver picked both men up at Brady Square and was told to take them to an Address on Jean Street.

The driver picked both men up at Brady Square and was told to take them to an Address on Jean Street. When the vehicle stopped the driver was threatened with a weapon, described as something shiny.

The two men took off on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and other items belonging to the driver.

later that morning two individuals matching the descriptions given by the taxi driver were seen in the area of Frood Street and Beatty Street.

One accused, a 37 year old man, was arrested and the other managed to escape.

Police are requesting the public's assistance in locating the second individual described as a male, 5'6" to 5'8" wearing baggy clothes and a ball cap with a small mustache.
