Teenage boys crash stolen truck into ditch

Two teenage boys are facing various charges after they allegedly stole a truck, crashed it into a ditch and fled the scene on foot. Greater Sudbury Police responded to reports of a collision on St. Andrew's Road July 12 around 1:40 a.m.

Two teenage boys are facing various charges after they allegedly stole a truck, crashed it into a ditch and fled the scene on foot.

Witnesses said the boys who were driving the truck tried to push it out of the ditch, and then fled the scene before the police got there.

The truck was determined to be stolen. The boys were located a short time later on a nearby street.

The boy believed to be the driver has been charged with impaired driving, possession of stolen property and failing to comply with recognizance. He was due to appear in bail court July 13.
