  The results for Operation Impact, a national campaign to make Canada’s roads the safest in the world, are in:

* A 47-year-old male was charged with operating his 2005 Subaru on Municipal Road 35 at 54 km/h over the speed limit, resulting in a seven-day suspension of his licence and seven day impoundment of his vehicle.
* One person was charged with having a radar warning device and speeding 107 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.
* 177 people were charged with speeding
* Four people were charged with impaired driving over the weekend.
* Eleven people were charged with failing to wear their seatbelts.
* Two drivers were charged with failing to ensure children were in child restraints.
* 25 various other Highway Traffic Act charges were laid

Officers will continue to monitor aggressive driving in Greater Sudbury to improve road safety within our community.
