Trucks collide in Valley East

Two pickup trucks collided at the Martin Road and Main Street intersection in Valley East on Dec. 1, around 2 p.m., resulting in one driver being taken to the St. Joseph's Health Centre for observation.

The damage done in the collision resulted in both trucks being written off, state Greater Sudbury police in a release.

Investigation indicates that the northbound driver did not yield right of way to the eastbound truck.

The man driving the north bound vehicle has been charged with two counts of driving while disqualified, breach of probation, using unauthorized plates, operating a vehicle with no insurance, and impaired driving.

He is scheduled to appear in bail court Dec. 2.
