On July 13 two men walked into the Great Canadian Superstore at 1485 Lasalle Blvd. and stole about $500 worth of meat and groceries.
Loss prevention officers witnessed the theft and attempted to apprehend the men outside the store. The suspects fled the area without complying with the arrest. However, all of the merchandise was recovered.
A police investigation led to the arrest of one of the suspects. The accused is being held for a bail hearing today (July 15).
