Two men wanted in connection with Dec. 25 stabbing

Two people were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a double-stabbing on Jean St. in Sudbury Dec. 25.

When Greater Sudbury Police officers arrived on scene around 8 pm, they found both victims with injuries sustained from an edged weapon. A woman was released with minor injuries and a man was hospitalized for treatment.

Police are appealing to the public for assistance in this investigation. They're looking for two men considered to be violent and who should not be approached.

The first man is native, heavy set, in his late thirties, approximately six-feet and unshaven with long dark hair in a ponytail and a dark pock-marked complexion. He was last seen wearing a blue plaid lumber jacket with dark jeans and workboots.

The second man is also native, between 28 and 35-years-old. He is approximately five-foot-ten with a skinny build and short hair. He was last seen wearing a blue ski jacket with a brown stripe on both sleeves, jeans and running shoes decorated with a "N" and an arrow.

Gavin Nettagog, a 20-year-old Greater Sudbury man was murdered near Jean St. Nov. 24 2006. His fatal injury was the result of an attack with an edged weapon.
