Two Sudbury residents charged for weekend break and enter

Police allege two 21-year-olds broke into Highway 17 business on the weekend

Two Sudbury residents are facing charges for allegedly breaking into and robbing a business on Highway 17 over the weekend.

On Feb. 11 shortly after 10:30 a.m., Nipissing West Ontario Provincial Police detachment reported responding to a break and enter at a business on Highway 17 in Markstay-Warren.

“A witness provided a description of a vehicle leaving the property, which was stopped by police and two people were arrested on Highway 17,” OPP said.

Arrested and charged are two 21-year-old Sudbury residents, who are each facing charges of: 

  • Break, enter a place - commit indictable offence
  • Possession break in instruments
  • Failure to comply with Undertaking
  • Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000 - in Canada

Both accused were held for bail court on Feb. 12 in Sudbury.
