United Way Sudbury has chosen Lyse-Anne Papineau as its 2009 campaign chair.
Papineau is the director of education for the Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario.
Every year, a different community leader leads United Way Sudbury's fundraising campaign.
"Over the years, we have been fortunate to have chairs from many different sectors of our community. Despite the different backgrounds, there is one common trait that each of these individuals embodies: a passion for strengthening the fabric of this great city and area," stated a release put out by the United Way.
"We are very excited to work with Lyse-Anne, she is a dynamic individual who cares deeply for our community. We believe that she is going to be a great leader to drive and inspire our campaign cabinet in this challenging year."
