Update: GSPS respond to gunfire in Grandview Blvd. area

Update

According to a release from GSPS, officers responded to reports of gunfire around 9:40 a.m. this morning at a residence on Grandview Boulevard. "Officers responded to the area and attended a residence on Grandview Boulevard that had sustained damage caused by gunfire," reads the release. "No one was injured during this incident. Investigators are actively canvassing the area for witnesses and video footage that may have captured the incident."  
This is believed to be a targeted incident and there is no known immediate threat to public safety.  Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Division at 705-675-9171.

Greater Sudbury Police say they're investigating a disturbance on Grandview Boulevard, which is located in the New Sudbury area.

There is an increased police presence in the area.

Police ask that people avoid the area for the time being.
