Three men suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries when their truck struck a culvert Dec. 21 around 12:49 am.

According to Greater Sudbury Police, a pickup was being driven westbound on Valleyview Rd. with three occupants, one of whom was riding in the box, when the driver lost control of the truck, left the roadway and struck a culvert.

All three were taken to St. Joseph's Health Centre. Police say alcohol was a factor in the collision.

The driver of the truck, a 20-year-old Val Caron man, has been charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm, operating a motor vehicle with more than the legal allowable limit of alcohol in the blood and driving with a G2 class licence with a blood alcohol concentration above zero.
