Victim robbed and punched behind Rainbow Centre

Greater Sudbury Police are searching for two men who allegedly robbed and punched a man in the head at the rear of the Rainbow Centre July 2 around 8 p.m. The suspects approached another man and asked him to empty his pockets.

Greater Sudbury Police are searching for two men who allegedly robbed and punched a man in the head at the rear of the Rainbow Centre July 2 around 8 p.m.

The suspects approached another man and asked him to empty his pockets. They then began to strike him, causing swelling and superficial cuts and bruising.

After the robbery, at least one person out of a group of people who witnessed the incident came forward to offer the victim assistance.

The victim was treated at the hospital and released.

One of the suspects is described as a Caucasian man, approximately 5-8, medium build, and 19- 20-years-old. He was wearing all-white clothing, including a white hooded sweater with a grey t-shirt underneath and long white pants.

The second suspect is described as an aboriginal man, approximately 6-0, and wearing a white hooded sweater with a red t-shirt underneath. No approximate age was given.

Greater Sudbury Police would like to speak to any witnesses to the incident, and in particular anybody who offered the victim assistance.
