Wanted man arrested after entering police station for 'personal business'

A 48-year-old man who entered the front lobby of Greater Sudbury Police Services Dec. 2 at around 3 p.m. for “personal business” was arrested after officers recognized him as being the subject of a warrant for failing to appear in court.

 A 48-year-old man who entered the front lobby of Greater Sudbury Police Services Dec. 2 at around 3 p.m. for “personal business” was arrested after officers recognized him as being the subject of a warrant for failing to appear in court.

After he was searched, he was found to be in possession of the drug oxycocet. Further investigation revealed he had no legitimate reason to be in possession of the drug.

The man was charged with failing to to appear in court and possession of a controlled substance. He was due to appear in court Dec. 3.
