Weekend robbery suspects at large

Greater Sudbury Police are investigating a pair of robberies that occurred over the weekend. On Feb. 18, a gas station attendant in Wahnapitae was taken to hospital after being doused in pepper spray.

Greater Sudbury Police are investigating a pair of robberies that occurred over the weekend.

On Feb. 18, a gas station attendant in Wahnapitae was taken to hospital after being doused in pepper spray. The suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. Police searched the area with the K-9 unit but were unsuccessful.

The suspect is described as male, approximately five-foot-six with a slim build. He was wearing black pants, a black sweater and a black ski mask.

On Feb. 19, a man walking by himself on a trail between Notre Dame Ave. and the Louis St. apartments was robbed by three men.

The victim was punched by the suspects and they demanded money. The suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The three suspects were described as being approximately 18-years-old.

The first suspect is a native man, six-feet and a very thin build. He was wearing a black bomber style jacket with a hood covering his head.

The second suspect is a native man, about five-foot-eight, medium build, and also wearing a black bomber style jacket with a hood covering his head.

The third suspect is a native man, five-foot-five with a heavy build and a full dark goatee. He was also wearing a black bomber style jacket with the hood over his head.
