Wild weekend weather results in road closures

Posted by Sudbury Northern Life  Numerous highways in the northeast were closed over the weekend because of poor weather conditions. Highway 69 was closed between 2:45 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. Saturday because of washout water on the highway.

Numerous highways in the northeast were closed over the weekend because of poor weather conditions.

Highway 69 was closed between 2:45 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. Saturday because of washout water on the highway.

Highway 144 from Cartier to Timmins was closed between 10:15 a.m. and 2:10 p.m. Saturday because of poor weather conditions.

Highway 637 into Killarney was closed Friday night because of a washout, but was re-opened to one lane by Saturday afternoon.

Highway 535 south of St. Charles between Coursol Road and Musky Road, as well as Highway 539A just north of Highway 539, were also closed Friday night because of washouts. Highway 535 was re-opened the same night.
