Youths set Copper Cliff brush fire

Greater Sudbury Police have been actively investigating a series of brush fires that have occurred in the Copper Cliff in the past 18 months. Through their investigation, police have determined that a brush fire that occurred Aug.

Greater Sudbury Police have been actively investigating a series of brush fires that have  occurred in the Copper Cliff in the past 18 months.

Through their investigation, police have determined that a brush fire that occurred Aug. 22, 2005, near Diorite St. and Union St. was caused by two youths who used a lighter to intentionally ignite dry grass.

Although only grass and trees were damaged, police say the blaze was close to hydro lines with the potential for serious damage. The two youths are to young to be named or charged.
