The Copper Cliff Ice Angels are ready to rock
the house.
The classy group of young ladies will perform
at the Sudbury Wolves game tonight during the first
intermission.
The Ice Angels have been busy all year,
showcasing their talents at local shows and events and also
showing they care about the community.
The Ice Angels second annual Christmas Food
Drive was a tremendous success, bringing in plenty of grub for
the less fortunate.
The group will be competing in a competition
on March 11 in Caledonia.
The club is also looking at holding a
training camp for current and new skaters in the early summer.
The Ice Angels invite all new skaters to come out and see what
the club is all about.
Interested skaters can also check out a
practice, which takes place on Tuesdays from 8 to 10 pm and
Sunday mornings from 8 to 10 am at the
McClelland Arena in Copper Cliff.
For more information on Skate Canada test
requirements, interested skaters can contact manager Diane
Rienguette at 694-5343 or coach Margaret Elliot at
682-0113.
The club's current goal is to build a strong
team for the Central Region competition in North Bay next
season, which is a qualifying event for the Canadian
Nationals.
