Jeff Buttle won men's singles at the Canadian figure skating championships Saturday in Ottawa, securing his place in the 2006 Olympics in Torino, Italy.

Buttle, of Smooth Rock Falls, Ont., took first place over Emanuel Sandhu of Richmond Hill, Ont, scoring 266.90 points (a personal best) including 151.38 points for his free skating.
