Sudbury Wolves sophomore star Quinton Byfield continued to cement himself as one of the country's top junior hockey prospects with a player of the game performance Thursday in the CIBC Canada Russia Series.

Byfield suited up for Team OHL on Thursday in Kitchener and played a big role in the team's 4-1 win over the Russians.

The 17-year-old standout hit the score sheet twice, chipping in a pair of assists on goals by Ty Dellandrea and Connor McMichael.

Byfield will be back with the Wolves for their next two games, Friday at home against the Niagara IceDogs and Saturday in Hamilton when the Wolves take on the Bulldogs.

He will head back out to London to rejoin his Team OHL teammates when they take on Team Russia on Monday night at the Budweiser Gardens in London.
