Laurentian University Athletics has named
Cassandra Carpenter and Ryan Smith as this week's The Keg
Steakhouse and Bar Athletes of the Week.

Carpenter has been an offensive force for the
Lady Vees and had another strong weekend on the hard-court with
back to back double-doubles. Carpenter put up 25 points and
grabbed 11 rebounds against Lakehead University Friday and 22
points, 12 rebounds versus McMaster Saturday.
"She (Carpenter) was great for us this
weekend, and is continuing to develop," said Vees head
coach Mike Clarke. "She's on her way to another
All-Canadian nomination."

On the men's side Ryan Smith has been a
force in the water for Laurentian, taking top spot in the 400
and 200 metre individual medley at the Campbell Divisionals in
Waterloo this weekend.
Smith has already assured himself a spot at a
national competition in February.
