The Walden Cross Country Fitness Club held a loppet Jan. 25.
The loppet attracted participants of all ages, with young
children skiing 250 metres, children and first-timers skiing
three kilometres, and more advanced skiiers travelling eight or
15 kilometres. All participants classic skied.
The fitness club is located off Regional Road 55 in Naughton. The terrain is rolling to moderately hilly, with numerous rock outcrops, typical of the Precambrian Shield found across Northern Ontario. The classic trails are double tracked.
