Greater Sudbury's Jeff Dickson enjoyed another spectacular season on the slopes across Canada in 2007-08.

Greater Sudbury paralympic downhill skier Jeff Dickson was one of the top skiers at his level this past season, taking medals at events across the country and in the United States.

Dickson won two gold medals in the giant slalom and slalom at the Eastern Canadian Championships. At a Nor-Am Cup event in Colorado, Dickson managed three top-10 finishes.

Dickson rounded out his impressive season by winning gold in the slalom and three silver medals in slalom events at the Telus Para-Alpine Canadian Championships in B.C. recently.

The skier was thrilled with his results on the slopes.

"It was a good season for me," Dickson said. "I just showed up and raced. In my mind, I proved I could still do it."
The burning question for Dickson now is if he will compete in 2010 at the Paralympics. As of now, he's undecided.
"It's a big question mark...right now I'm taking it day-to-day," Dickson said. "I will focus on work and still stay in shape though."

Dickson currently works as a real estate appraiser.
