East met West in high school soccer

Sixty girls and boys participated in the SDSSAA soccer all-star games last week. In the girls' game, the West side won 4-3 over the Eastern Conference. St. Benedict's Danya Corelli scored two goals, including the game winner to pace the West.

In the girls' game, the West side won 4-3 over the Eastern Conference. St. Benedict's Danya Corelli scored two goals, including the game winner to pace the West. Lo-Ellen Park's Jessica Haavisto and Lockerby's Kayla O'Link also scored for the West. Lasalle's Gillian Scott, Notre-Dame's Manon Davis with two goals, scored for the East.

In the boys' game, the West rolled to a 2-1 victory of the Eastern Conference's best. Lockerby's Neil Petrin netted the game-winning goal for the West. St. Benedict's Steve Rachkowski also scored for the West.

Sudbury Secondary's Luis Parada popped the lone goal for the East.
