Espanola defender Spencer Horgan signs with Wolves

Pack please former Paper King will be sporting Sudbury colours

The Sudbury Wolves has signed Espanola Paper Kings defender Spencer Horgan to the Pack, the team announced this month.

The Sudbury Wolves have signed defenceman Spencer Horgan from the Espanola Paper Kings.  

The Bowmanville native stands 6-0 and weighs in at 78.4 kg (173 lbs). The right-handed defender averaged 2.14 points per game with the Paper Kings this season, the Pack said, registering 14 goals and 31 assists through 21 games. 

“We are very happy to sign Spencer to an OHL scholarship and development agreement,” said Sudbury Wolves VP and General Manager, Rob Papineau. “He has been having an outstanding season in Espanola and adds needed depth to our hockey team this season and into the future.

“Spencer is a shining  example to all young players who don’t hear their name called on draft to stay focused and continue to  work hard to reach their goals. Espanola has done an outstanding job of developing him and creating a  great environment where he has been able to become a significantly improved player.” 

The Pack heads to the Sault to take on the Greyhounds on Nov. 15 before returning home ot take on the Peterborough Petes on Friday.
