The Sudbury Five were at home again on Sunday afternoon for the back end of two games against the Jamestown Jackals, playing in front of 1,804 fans.

Sudbury got the start they were looking for on this day, scoring 39 points in the first quarter alone and holding Jamestown to just 23 of their own to take a 16-point lead after the first quarter with contributions from Duane Notice, who notched 22 points in the game, and Landon Kirkwood, who put up 15 points throughout the game.

The Five continued their strong offensive play in the second quarter, scoring 38 points to Jamestown’s 29 and held a big 77-52 going into the dressing room at halftime.

The Jackals were able to score more points in the third quarter, with 31, but couldn’t contain Sudbury’s own offense, who scored 36 in the quarter, with contributions from Keljin Blevins, who was the performer of the game for the Five with 22 points, and newly acquired Ja’Myrin Jackson with 12 points in the game, and heading into the fourth quarter the Sudbury Five lead the Jamestown Jackals by a score of 113-83.

Haroun Mohamed would score 13 points in the game and Evan Harris would score 12 points of his own to propel the Sudbury Five to a huge 143-110 win over the Jamestown Jackals.

With the win the Sudbury Five hold a record of 11 wins and six losses on the season.

The Sudbury Five head out on the road for a few games, starting with a game in Kitchener on Thursday, Feb. 29, with a game against Dexter Williams Jr. and the KW Titans with tip off scheduled for 7 p.m.
