Sudbury Wolves rookie forward Anton Hedman faced the wrath of the OHL yesterday when he was suspended two games for a fighting during the Wolves' 5-1 loss to the Sarnia Sting Nov. 6.

Hedman was suspended for instigating a fight with Mississauga Ice Dogs' defenceman David Pszenyczny in the last five minutes of the game, contrary to CHL rules. According to league officials, the two-game suspension is automatic for any player caught instigating a brawl in the dying minutes of a game.

There is opportunity for Hedman or the Sudbury Wolves to appeal the ruling.

As a result of the suspension, Hedman will miss road games on Friday and Saturday against the Guelph Storm and Erie Otters respectively.

Hedman's offensive contributions, nine goals and 7 assists in 18 games will be missed by a struggling Wolves' squad that was outscored 10-1 in their last two games and has just one road win in seven games.
