Northern Life A+ Performer of the Day
For Wednesday, Dec. 19 it's Lively high school's Christie Sitko. The multi-sport athlete has led the charge for the girls' hockey team this season. In her first seven games, Sitko had seven goals and 10 points. Sitko sat sixth in Division I scoring as of Monday morning. Lively went 2-5-1 in their first seven games and sat in fourth place in the standings.

The Schedule
Fans of boys' basketball are in for a triple-header treat tonight. The Lo-Ellen Park junior, midget and senior teams host their counterparts from Lockerby in a classic south end showdown. The midgets get things started at 5 pm, with the juniors at 6:30 pm and the seniors at 8 pm. The Lo-Ellen midgets are 2-1, juniors are 3-2 and the seniors are 2-3 to start their seasons. The Lockerby midgets are 3-1, juniors 2-2 and seniors 2-2 to start the season.

Athletes of the Week (For the second week in December)
Raymond Beaudry, Macdonald-Cartier
Sports: volleyball, basketball, soccer, bowling, rowing, badminton and track and field.
Beaudry is a Grade 11 student. Last year, Raymond with his teammates captured first place in rowing and a bronze medal in soccer at the OFFSAA level. Beaudry has also been an active member of the Student Athletic Association since Grade 9 where he volunteers his time as a line judge and scorekeeper for many volleyball and basketball games. He has also helped coach the school's Grade 7 and 8 volleyball teams. 

Deanna Cacciotti, Sacré-Coeur
Sports: volleyball, cross-country running, track and field.
Cacciotti is a Grade 10 student. She has been a member of the senior volleyball team since Grade 9. She brings a lot of leadership and energy to the team as a libero player. Cacciotti also participates in cross-country running and track and field. Furthermore, she is very involved in martial arts. Recently, she has captured gold and silver medals in the black belt category.
