The Sudbury Wolves are throwing their support behind former defenseman and captain Rory Fitzpatrick.
A campaign has been started at www.voteforrory.com to get the journeyman into the 2007 NHL All-Star Game in Dallas. The six-foot-two defenseman was a second round pick of the Montreal Canadiens in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. He has played over 200 NHL games and is now with his fifth NHL team, the Vancouver Canuks.
In 19 games this season, Fitzpatrick has scored zero points
but is already in second place in All-Star voting.
Fitzpatrick captained the 1994-95 Sudbury Wolves. He suited up for three seasons with the Wolves, playing in 179 games and tallying 118 points. Fitzpatrick is a write-in vote.
