Jr. Wolves break losing streak

The Kal Tire Sudbury Junior Wolves snapped a four game losing streak Nov. 26 with a 5-3 victory over the Manitoulin Islanders at the Garson Arena.

Leading scorer Chris Kangas led the way for the Jr. Wolves with a goal and a pair of assists. Luc Comtois scored his first goal of the season for the Jr. Wolves with Jeff Verreault scoring the game winner. Evan Daciuk and Chris Pontes added singles.

The Jr. Wolves outshot Manitoulin 44-32. Rookie goaltender Nick Mcmullen recorded his fourth win in his last five starts for the Jr. Wolves.

Sudbury travels to North Bay on Sunday to close-out the month of November. The Skyhawks lead the Paul Lizotte Esso Fuels Challenge Cup series between the two clubs 6-4 in points.
