The Kal Tire Jr. Wolves quest for another NOJHL championship begins tonight (Sept. 9) at the McLelland Arena in Copper Cliff against the Abitibi Eskimos. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

Sudbury completed a perfect 2-0 pre-season and will be looking to carry that momentum into Wednesday's game against a solid Eskimos squad. Abitibi is an early-season favourite to be a championship contender this season, according to a press release. This game will also be a rematch of last season's first-round playoff series that saw Abitibi eliminate the Jr. Wolves in five games.

The home opener will also be the home debut of highly-touted Wolves prospect Kyle Shaw. The 16-year-old forward was the fifth round selection of the Wolves in this past summer's OHL Priority Selection. Shaw was a standout for the Sun County Panthers last season and will be looking to make an immediate impact with his new team, the press release stated.

Pre-game ceremonies at the game will include player introductions and a ceremonial face-off. Tickets are available at the door for $9 for adults, $6 for juniors and seniors and $3 for children.

Season tickets will also be available for purchase at the game. Adults can enjoy all 25 regular season games for just $125. OHL Wolves season ticket holders receive a discounted price of $99.
