The Kal Tire Jr. Wolves snapped a five-game losing steak and defeated the Soo Eagles 6-4 Wednesday night at the Garson Arena.

Jeff Verreault was the hero for the Jr. Wolves, recording four points as the Junior Wolves stormed back from an early 4-1 deficit to earn the come-from-behind victory.

Luc Comtois, Evan Daciuk, Zach McGillis, Chris Kangas and Chris Pontes scored for the Jr. Wolves, who trailed 4-2 after the first period. The Jr. Wolves led 5-4 after two periods of play.

Jr. Wolves' goaltender Joey Delwo battled hard in net for the team, and stopped 34 shots for the victory. Verreault was named the game's first star and Tyler Arps was the third star.

The Jr. Wolves will try to make it two in a row on Sunday when they travel to North Bay to play the Skyhawks.

The Jr. Wolves return home next Wednesday to host the Temiscaming Royals at the Garson Arena.

The Jr. Wolves will pay tribute to their captain Jordan Cheechoo at the beginning of Wednesday's game. Cheechoo is ending a five-year junior hockey career after sustaining a season-ending injury last week against the North Bay Skyhawks.
