The Sudbury Northern Junior Wolves are
preparing to take on the Manitoulin Islanders tonight
(Wednesday) and are coming off a busy week winning two of three
games.
In Sudbury's corner, Brian McGarry has
been leading the way offensively with a league leading 56
points in 24 games. McGarry is 12 games away from breaking a
league record for the most games played for one team, currently
sitting at 199.
For the Islanders, Jesse Peltier has been the
team's offensive spark with eight goals and 17 points in 18
games. Goaltender Billy Stone has been less than solid in net
for the Isles', with a .900 save percentage and just five
wins on the season. He has allowed four or more goals in every
game this season.
The game is at the McClelland Arena in Azilda
tonight at 7:30. There will be a silent auction featuring
sports memorabilia on site during the game.
