The defending NOJHL champion KAL Tire Junior Wolves will begin defence of their title this Wednesday against the Manitoulin Islanders. Game time is 7:30 at the McClelland Arena.
Game two is set for Thursday evening, starting at 7:30 pm at Howland Arena in Little Current.
Game three is set for Saturday, March 17 starting at 7:30 pm in Copper Cliff and game four is set for Sunday, March 18 in Little Current with game time set for 7:30 pm.
If a fifth game is necessary, it will be played Tuesday, March 20 in Copper Cliff, with game time set for 7:30 pm. If a sixth game is necessary, it will be played in Little Current on Wednesday, March 21 with game time set for 7:30 pm.
If a seventh and deciding game is needed, it will be played Thursday, March 22 in Copper Cliff with game time again set for 7:30 pm.
Sudbury finished the regular season in a first place tie with the Soo Indians at 65 points each. The Indians claimed first place by virtue of having 31 wins versus Sudbury's 29.
For the second year in a row, the NOJHL scoring race was won by a member of the KAL Tire Junior Wolves.
Scott Restoule took home his first scoring title, finishing with 33 goals and 47 assists for 80 points in just 42 games played.
Teammate Brendan Biedermann finished second in the scoring race with 67 points.
His 38 goals had him tied for tops in the league with Soo Thunderbirds forward Brett Perlini. J.F. Houle also finished in the top 10 with 51 points despite playing just 32 games.
The Junior Wolves are trying to repeat as league champions. Tickets are available at the door. Playoff tickets will be $10 for adults and $8 for juniors and seniors.
Season ticket holders will get regular season pricing of $8.00 for adults and $6.00 for juniors and seniors. Children 12 and under who are accompanied by an adult are free.
