NOBHL

Onaping Falls Huskies

The Huskies are charging into the playoffs with a solid season and could set a few new records. The Huskies, with 164 goals scored in 25 games, are on pace to tally 223 goals for, which would shatter the old mark of 205 set by the 2004-05 Sault Greyhounds. Forward Nick Esposto, if he continues to score at a wild pace, could break the points scored in one season. Esposto has 55 points in 25 games, and needs 26 points in his final nine games to break the old record of 80 points set by Dean Howard of the Sault.

League record and standing: 20-5-0-0, second.

Previous result: 4-1 win over Sudbury, Dec. 11, 2005.

Next series of games: Onaping at Sault Ste. Marie, Jan. 14. Game times are 1 and 8 pm.

Sudbury Wolves

The Wolves are struggling as the playoffs approach, going 0-4-1 in their last five games.
