On Friday, the Lockerby Composite School wrestling team competed in Sault Ste. Marie at the NOSSA championships. The team performed extremely well, capturing the NOSSA boys' championship trophy and finishing second overall in team points.
Coming away with gold medals were: Dylan Galloway, 54 kg, Brad Durigon, 83 kg and Anthony Bulfon, 89 kg.
Silver medalists were: Nicholas Talarico, 72 kg, Derek Galloway, 95 kg and Rickie-Lee Belanger, 61 kg.
Bronze medalists were Mathieu Charette, 72 kg and Devon Boyne, 77 kg.
Finishing in the top five were Matt Laaper, 67.5 kg and Andrew Simeoni, 61 kg.
